Tennis shoes
Tennis is a sport based on moving quickly around the court with many abrupt changes of direction. Therefore, a firm grip on the court is needed, and the shoe plays a pivotal part in achieving this. All professional tennis players lace their shoes tightly to achieve this. Have you ever seen Rafael Nadal play? Immediately after the match, he unties his shoes because of the discomfort.
VPECS provides a better grip between the foot and the shoe with the three-point fixation built into the system. By reducing the pressure on the nerve, the player’s comfort improves.
Moreover, lacing a shoe tightly will obstruct blood flow to the forefoot. VPECS preserves normal blood flow to the forefoot and improves circulation in the toes for better performance.
We are happy to announce that we have finished our first prototype for a tennis shoe with VPECS integrate din the tongue. This was achieved by a collaboration with a shoe manufactturer. We are now in the process of producing a smaller series for further testing to learn more about function and durability.
