Ice hockey skates

Ice hockey skates, together with ski boots, are the most uncomfortable footwear available. In ice hockey, the player needs to have good force transmission between the foot and the ice. In addition, high precision in the movements transferred to the ice is also needed to achieve good results.

This is achieved by lacing the skates tightly. Hockey skates have hard padding by nature, and tight lacing will lead to a distinct pressure on the top side of the foot, compressing both the dorsal pedal artery and the deep fibular nerve.

VPECS in hockey skates will protect these structures and also provide three-point fixation of the middle foot. The reduced pressure on the artery and nerve will lead to warmer feet and less pain. The three-point fixation will improve the player’s force transmission and precision.
